GM Company-Owned Vehicle Discount

The GM Company-Owned Vehicle Discount allows eligible participants to purchase vehicles that have been driven as part of the GM Quality Reliability Durability (QRD) program. These vehicles are available at a discount price that is below the GM Employee Discount Price and varies depending on the mileage of the vehicle. The QRD discount price can also be combined with most current offers and available bonus cash.

How It Works

In order to take advantage of this discount, you must tag a vehicle and obtain an authorization number.

Tagging

Participants may access the program by clicking on the Search and Tag a Vehicle link on the “Programs” page. This page offers eligible participants the ability to search available vehicle inventory online, select a vehicle to tag and receive online confirmation of the tag transaction.

The inventory of available vehicles changes daily. A summary of vehicles is located in Daily Available Vehicle Summary on the “Search and Tag a Vehicle” page.

Obtaining An Authorization Number

Like the GM Employee Discount, you will need to obtain an authorization number for this discount. Once a vehicle has been tagged, the on-screen confirmation page includes a link to the Company-Owned Vehicle Discount section, where you can request an authorization number. You will need to take this number to your GM Dealer when your tagged vehicle is available for pickup.

Participants may purchase a total of two (2) company-owned vehicles per calendar year. However, only one (1) active tagged vehicle is allowed at a time. Only the eligible participant, spouse of the eligible participant, or dependent child or stepchild (provided the child is either under 21 years of age or a full-time student under 25 years of age on the date of purchase) of the eligible participant may purchase vehicles under the GM Company-Owned Vehicle Discount.

Vehicle Tagging System

The GM Company-Owned Vehicle Discount gives participants flexibility when purchasing GM company-owned vehicles. In addition to viewing the entire inventory of available vehicles online, eligible participants can perform detailed searches by make, model, color, interior, availability date and more, and can select and "tag" the vehicle of their choice. Participants may also view the mileage of the vehicle selected. The mileage shown is updated periodically through the vehicle's OnStar® system.

Through the Company Owned Vehicle Discount, vehicles are available at a discount price that is below the GM Employee Discount price. The QRD discount price can be combined with most current offers and available bonus cash. However, because the vehicles are so low-priced, they cannot be combined with the GM Employee Discount.

Search & Tag

QRD Discount

Your QRD Discount has three tiers of pricing, based on the mileage of the QRD vehicle on the day it is removed from the company-owned vehicle service:

• 0 –3,000 miles = QRD1
• 3,001–6,000 = QRD2
• 6,001+ miles = QRD3

Any mileage added after this date (e.g., mileage to drive the vehicle to the delivering dealership) will not be included in determining the QRD level discount.

Warranty Start Date

The warranty start date begins when the vehicle goes into company service, not the day you acquire the vehicle.
