The Employee Appreciation Certificate program recognizes the contribution you make, as a GM Financial employee, to the success of our company by granting you an annual certificate toward the purchase or lease of an eligible, new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle. To take advantage of your Employee Appreciation Certificate, take your certificate authorization number — along with your GM Employee Discount or Company-Owned Vehicle Discount authorization number — to your participating GM Dealer, pick out your new GM vehicle, and hit the road.
The Employee Appreciation Certificate is for a GM Financial employee purchase or lease only. The certificate cannot be transferred to any family members. All purchases must comply with The GM Employee Discount Program’s Rules and Guidelines and the Employee Appreciation Certificate Program Terms and Conditions
Who qualifies for this program?
The Employee Appreciation Certificate program is for active GM Financial salaried employees, levels 1 through 3. Level 3 employees will receive $3,000, level 2 will receive $2,000 and level 1 will receive $1,000. Employee Appreciation Certificates are valid through January 2, 2018.
Can my family members use my Employee Appreciation Certificate?
No, your Employee Appreciation Certificate can only be used by you, the GM Financial employee, for the purchase or lease of an eligible vehicle. You cannot transfer it to any other family members.
What happens if I change levels after receiving my Employee Appreciation Certificate?
Your Employee Appreciation Certificate amount will adjust according to your respective level.
How many Employee Appreciation Certificates do I get?
Qualifying GM Financial employees get one Employee Appreciation Certificate that is valid through January 2, 2018.
Is this offer good on both purchases and leases of new GM vehicles?
Yes, you may use your Employee Appreciation Certificate on either the purchase or lease of an eligible, new GM vehicle.
Can I use my Employee Appreciation Certificate when I tag and purchase a QRD vehicle (formerly known as PEP vehicles)?Yes, you may use your Employee Appreciation Certificate on the purchase of a QRD vehicle through the GM Company-Owned Vehicle Discount.
Can I use my Employee Appreciation Certificate without using the GM Employee Discount?
No, the Employee Appreciation Certificate must be used in combination with either the GM Employee Discount or GM Company-Owned Vehicle Discount (QRD).
What will I need at the dealership to use my Employee Appreciation Certificate?
You will need your Employee Appreciation Certificate authorization number, your GM Employee Discount authorization number and your driver’s license.
Can I combine my Employee Appreciation Certificate with my GM Card Earnings?
You can combine your Employee Appreciation Certificate with the GM Extended Family Card or the GM Business Card. You cannot use it with the GM Card or the GM Flexible Earnings Card.
I recently purchased a new GM vehicle. Can I use my Employee Appreciation Certificate on a prior purchase?
No, an Employee Appreciation Certificate cannot be applied to a prior purchase.
What happens if I leave GM Financial after I’ve purchased my vehicle but before I take delivery?
You must be an active GM Financial employee for the entire purchase process — from the date the process is started through the date of vehicle delivery.
Is every dealer required to accept my certificate?
Dealers are not required to participate. If the dealer you visit is not willing to sell you a vehicle with the GM Employee Discount and your Employee Appreciation Certificate, you may visit another GM Dealer.
