With the GM Supplier Discount for Friends, you can share the same discount reserved for GM suppliers with friends, neighbors and relatives who are not eligible to use your GM Employee Discount. It’s perfect for people who otherwise may not consider buying a new GM vehicle. Note: Your prospect must be a U.S. resident to use this program.

Similar to the GM Employee Discount process, you will need to obtain an authorization number for your prospect. Select “GM Supplier Discount for Friends” from the Programs menu, then enter their date of birth and ZIP Code to obtain their authorization number. Eligible employees can request one (1) GM Supplier Discount for Friends authorization number per month. (Authorizations do not accrue over time.)

You can send your prospects this link to help them build their ideal vehicle and see the price they’ll pay. Once they choose the model year, make, model and options, a comparison of the MSRP and the Supplier Discount Price will be shown. Plus, they can combine this discount with most current offers to save even more.

Note: Eligible participants are prohibited from providing Supplier Discount for Friends authorization numbers directly to dealers. Supplier Discount for Friends authorization numbers should only be given to the friend or neighbor that you are sponsoring. Participants must be U.S residents. Eligible active, retired, former hourly or salaried GM employees with more than 20 total years of cumulative service, widows and widowers of former GM employees with more than 20 total years of cumulative service, and active employees and retirees of GM Financial cannot obtain a GM Supplier Discount for Friends authorization number for themselves or their family members who are eligible for the GM Employee Discount. This includes their spouse, children, grandchildren, parents, stepparents, grandparents (including in-law and step), stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, mother-/father-in-law, sons-/daughters-in-law, brothers-/sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Eligible former hourly or salaried GM employees with 5-20 total years of cumulative service and widows and widowers of former GM employees with 5-20 total years of cumulative service cannot obtain a GM Supplier Discount for Friends authorization number for themselves or their spouse and dependent children.
